Thorn’s favourite occupation is swimming. Thorn (2 years old) on the right below in the sea with Bella. He is a very strong swimmer with stamina. I’m sure he could swim the channel. He is lucky that we live so close to the river. If no deep water is available he will lie down and roll in a puddle! He launches himself waterwards with great abandon. He once broke a toe by leaping into one of the lakes at the gravel pits in a place where he did not usually go in and hitting the bottom with the force of his entry! He was so miserable being grounded for weeks despite his brightly coloured bandages!

He also loves running for miles and miles. I think we have managed to exhaust him only once in his life. He loves hunting in forests, Holkham beach in Norfolk and Watergate Bay in Cornwall. He adores soft ice cream on a cone, tea in saucer and anything gentlemanly, like smoked venison pate or stilton cheese...also do not leave your glass of port unattended if he is within sniffing range! He is very soft mouthed dog and bomb proof with children.
