Thorn is Bella’s grandson. He was born 2nd of March 1998. His mother is Tanglebriar Hidden Spring from Bella’s first litter and his sire is

He is a lovely laid back dog to live with in the house, with a friendly temperament, but when out and about it can be a bit like taking a horse for a walk. When off lead he has a long stride and good turn of speed. Many’s the time we watch him disappear into the distance! He always comes back though. He can dig a mean hole too. He was an extremely affectionate, cuddly puppy who never missed a meal. He grew into a substantial imposing dog with plenty of bone. He is pictured with Bella shortly after he came to live with us at about 8 weeks old and in the next picture at just over a year, didn’t he grow! That’s him on the right, yet surprisingly he is not as tall as he appears. He is between 25 and 26 inches at the shoulder which is no more and maybe less than many dogs these days. He just looks huge.....it must be his giant’s soul!
